Wedding  on 12th May 2011 at ‘I do Beach’ followed by reception at private villa.

We had a dream – to marry on a beach with a beautiful setting with our closest friends and family to witness our commitment and declaration of love to each other.  We chose Cyprus because of the beautiful scenery and the climate it has to offer as well as it being home to Aphrodite the goddess of love.  After discovering Cyprus Law is based on British Law it became even more reassuring to know that it would be less complicated to get married over there in comparison to other countries, as we had both been married before.  We looked at a lot of wedding planners websites in Cyprus claiming you could get married on a beach.  Only to discover upon contact with them they did not offer such a thing.  The closest you could get to a beach wedding was in a hotel with a beachfront location. 

Then we stumbled upon I Do.  At this point we were considering having to forget our dream and settle for a hotel, which for us was not romantic at all and really – nothing special. We contacted I Do with the same question we had previously asked the other planners - can we actually get married on a beach location and not a hotel beach location??  We couldn’t quite believe the reply we got from I Do saying YES!!  That’s when the dream became a reality for us and without Igor nothing would have been possible.  Within 24 hours after asking plenty of questions, Igor contacted us and we discussed exactly what we wanted and paid a deposit. At first we had massive reservations about everything as we were putting our trust and handing over money for something to someone we had never met before.  Throughout the following months we asked even more questions and they were always answered very quickly and there was nothing that they wouldn’t try to do for us to make our day special and how we wanted it.  The last few months flew by and Igor and the staff at I Do informed us every step of the way what we needed to do regarding all the legalities.  Even at this point we were still not at ease as we were not in control of organising everything like you would be back here in the UK. 

 Finally we were on our way to Cyprus knowing that we would be meeting up with Igor the next day and all the final arrangements would be made for our wedding. 

 From the moment we met Igor he was very professional yet friendly but most importantly relaxed.  He was helpful and considerate with regards to our wishes.  He did not try to hard sell us anything to bump up the costs and suggested several things which we didn’t even think about.  We spent several hours at least with him going through everything and then unexpectedly to us, he took us on a tour of Paphos and showed us where the best cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, clubs, bars, ice cream parlour and attractions were.  This was an added bonus and came very handy for the rest of our stay in Cyprus.  At the end of our first meeting we felt completely relaxed and reassured and confident that Igor would make our day as special as we wanted it to be.    

 On the day, Igor was just amazing.  The weather was not on our side but we were determined we were going to get married (much to Igor’s surprise I think).  But he carried on and made our day amazingly special and one we will treasure forever.  It was simply perfect.  From the beach being beautifully decorated, the seclusion of the beach, ensuring the children were entertained with the ladybugs, the flowers, the cake, everything just everything was perfect.

 Igor came back to us the next day with the proofs of the photos and within 2/3 days we had our wedding album. 

From the very first point of contact all those months ago to our final goodbye, Igor was simply the best.  I highly recommend I Do and Igor to make your day special like it should be with the confidence in knowing that you will be looked after and in turn will receive an outstanding service from I Do.
