“We booked our wedding with I Do over a year in advance. From a very early stage their way of doing things gave me a very strong feeling that we were using a company that cared about the happy couple.

Heather came into the equation when we needed to get sent over the legal stuff and again the manner in which we were dealt with made me feel very confidant that there was to be no nasty surprises when we got to Cyprus!

We were told that once we arrived in Cyprus Igor would then take over the planning and preparation for the wedding. I could use so many words to describe Igor!!

He is passionate about making sure you have the perfect day.

If you are getting married in Paphos, don’t think twice about using Igor and his team, they will exceed your expectation and help to deliver a day beyond your dreams.

The only thing I would add is do not rush into booking any services with anybody in Cyprus yourself from the UK. Speak to Igor first, if he arranges anything he can control it how you would want it controlling. If you arrange anything independently you are in the hands of the gods. Everyone know how stressful a wedding can be in your own country never mind one abroad, but I can truthfully say Igor and his team definitely eased the stress a lot. 

From the smallest of details like the buttonholes to the larger details like the wedding meal, every detail was treated with the same equality and nothing was of any hassle. We honestly, from the bottom of our hearts could not have done it without him.  He’s such a genuine nice person, not out to get as much money as he can but to make sure you have the best day of your life.  And in the wedding industry, let’s face it, everyone knows that this is not always the case but it certainly was for us.

I would highly recommend www.ido.com..cy Weddings, I had some reservation’s at first because of booking it over the internet, but Igor and his team had everything under control. And everything was of the highest standard, down to the confetti and table decorations. We had forty two guest’s a bit of a squeeze but all worked out well with Igor’s help. He showed us different venues as to where you can have the reception, but my daughter wanted it at the hotel outside. Which he organized. Horse and carriage, car 57 seater coach. DJ, balloons, flowers etc.

I can’t thank Igor and Yana enough for all their help and telephone calls from Cyprus to make sure all we wanted was catered for. Igor became part of the family, and we hope to see him next year either in England or over in Cyprus.

Well what else can I say Igor you are brilliant, and thank you for seeing Lauren and Christian on Thursday, with the video and DVD they said they are great.

Firstly it has to be a great thank you for all your help, care and dedication in making our wedding a very special and memorable occasion. Igor can only be described as a legend who is a top quality guy, working with him was fun and effortless.

What became quickly apparent is his value added service and the strong belief in saving us unnecessary expenditure. He always ensures that you are happy and can read facial expressions like a cheap novel. My wife was a classic example with regards to the wedding reception venue; Igor could tell by her facial expressions that she was not fully engaged with the one she chose back in England. He said ”right, if you are not excited about this venue, we will find one that you are excited about!” Through his outstanding relationship network and the ability to feel what we would like, he showed us Chillingtons Restaurant near St Georges Chapel, which she fell in love with and the facial expressions were there for all to see :-).

I can not speak highly enough of the service provided by Igor and his team, everyone at our wedding stated what a top guy and how extremely helpful he was.

When in Paphos you will see a lot of tour operators organising weddings, couples do not receive the individual care, are treated in groups and share reception venues. The Unique Selling Point for I DO Weddings is that you are the centre of their attention; our wedding was special and individual, not packaged. This was not us stating this; this was a couple who got married via the tour operators.

I guess the biggest tribute we can state, is if we were going to do this again, would we change anything? The answer is NO as I DO Weddings made it perfect the first time round.

Again a very big thank you goes to Igor and the rest of the I Do Weddings team. We wish you all the best for the future and I would recommend anybody thinking of getting married in Paphos, to liaise with Igor (IDO.com.cy). As they will make the most important day of your life, as perfect and stress free as is humanely possible.

When the time finally came to meet him we were bowled over by the way he took on board what we wanted for our day and presented us with different possibilities of venues, flowers etc.  Igor made us feel at ease and any worries soon disappeared.  We had our wedding organised within a morning and already it was looking amazing.

On the day the transport, horse and carriage, ceremony, photographs, video and reception just went seamlessly.  Igor was like a conductor within an orchestra bringing all the parts of the day together in perfect synchronism.  Even when our choice of sunset photos wasn’t looking good he whisked us off to an alternative location with enough time to get some truly memorable photos.  Not only that but staying in the background of the wedding until the very end ensuring we were truly happy throughout the night.

On reflection we are glad Thomas Cook let us down otherwise we would never have met Igor, a truly astounding person.  We thank him and his colleagues at Ido weddings for providing us and our families a day we will never forget.

So the story begins…

Willi and I decided to spend the rest of our life together in January 07.

Few month ago we thought it would be nice to get married in Cyprus (though both of us has never been there).  I surfed on internet and found around 5 different wedding organizing company and contacted them.  After few days I received a reply from ‘I do wedding’ and until today the other companies never replied to us. ( but it doesn’t matter as we got married by the BEST).  What I can say everything was just perfect…perfectly organized and the party at Demokritos was awesome.

We would advise not to make any arrangements for the first day of your holiday as the day is pretty hectic sorting things out for the big day, however it is well worth it. Igor likes to make sure everything is exactly as you want it and works on the best value for money, his favorite saying “Any questions” is sure to be one you will hear on may occasions!

Things we would recommend
1. Roses or the bouquet, They were wonderful and a very good price.
2. The village fun bus if you have 15-20 guests. The Children loved it!
3. Pink panther photographer. We were very pleased with the quality of the photographs and they came in a lovely album, however we found it hard work to choose only 24 so we would recommend you take extra money to purchase the cd containing all of the photos, this cost us around £270 cy which may sound a lot but this gave us around 400 photos to do with as we wish.
4. Demokritos Traditional taverna for your evening meal. It was very good value for money and the entertainment really made our night. It was good fun and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just to finish we would like to say a big thank you once again to Igor for making our day very special with no stress (Even though you had your own problems at the time) We all had a truley wonderful time!

Friends of friends of ours first recommended Igor when they found out we wanted to get married abroad. We had at first thought of using another firm but they didn’t come recommended.

We would highly recommend all of these to anyone planning a wedding in Paphos.

I would like to say that we have met many people throughout our lives and when you talk about genuinely helpful people who would and did go above the call of duty then Igor you certainly fit that category.

For our special day I planned to get the horse & carriage as a surprise for my new wife well you can understand my worry at entrusting yourself a man i’d never met thousands of miles away not to spoil my surprise, but you came up with a plan that worked down to the last seconds and the surprise couldn’t have gone any better and my wife absolutely loved it not realizing until we boarded the carriage that it was for her and just for that i.m truly grateful.

We had on our day the hairdresser who Mel would recommend and is truly worth the money taking less than 15 minutes to complete the marvelous job that she did. We’d also highly recommend the Demokritas as the Wedding Reception venue both for the location and for the excellent food (I’ve been a chef for 18 years and i am very fussy) as it was both on time and very very nice as all our guests commented (just make sure that the waitress isn’t about during the speeches !!!!) The D.J. was top draw and played all our favorite music that both of us like and is another must for your perfect day.

Igor is a massively experienced, professional and dedicated wedding planner who takes personal pride in ensuring that your day goes without any hint of a hitch. He will not give you the hard sell on any aspect, particularly choice of reception venues, of which he took us to several. He gives an honest and forthright opinion at all times, explaining to you the pros and (importantly) the cons. You are always in control, and Igor will ensure that your wishes become reality. It helps too if you don’t go with a fixed idea of what you want: let Igor have his say, and take his advice on board. Believe me, he knows what he’s talking about.

We decided to fly out to meet him twice before our actual wedding holiday to organize things face-to-face, and on both occasions Igor was accessible at all times to answer our questions and to make appointments either to pick us up at our hotel, or to pop into his office in Paphos. He has an enormous network of contacts, and seems to know everybody who matters from restaurant owners and villa agents, to being on first name terms with Town Hall officials which makes things so much easier!

Needless to say, our wedding at Pegeia town hall, with reception at Oliveto, went without any problems. We had twelve adult guests and three small children, and everybody had a relaxed, stress-free day all thanks to Igor who was in the background making sure everything went well. The quality of the photographs (which we received in four days) was outstanding, and I recommend you get the CD in addition to the official album.

Weddings are big business in the Paphos area, but I think, and Igor passionately believes, that you need the personal touch to make things special. You need someone you can contact to answer your questions, and crucially, you need someone you can trust to organise your wedding behind the scenes so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Igor did all of this for us, and we don’t know what we would have done without him. A true master of his art.”

We have all arrived back home safely and are all wishing we were back in Cyprus as the weather here is bad. We want to thank you once more for making our day so special, we could not of wished for more. The DVD is brilliant we showed family and friends and made them feel like they were with us on our special day. Our Wedding…

Well, what can we say about our wedding in Paphos organised by Igor and Ido Weddings. It truly was the best day of our life.

We got in touch with Igor after my mum and dad had gone on holiday to Paphos and spotted the Ido Wedding office/shop. On looking at the company website I was keen to book with them as it looked very professional and there didn’t seem to be any hidden extras in terms of costs (and there wasn’t). From the initial enquiry, Igor called the next day and really did put our minds at rest with the whole preparation for the wedding. He went over every deal on what our option were for our wedding day. He provisionally booked the Town Hall for us and on payment of our deposit we received confirmation of the booking with the date and time that we would be married at. Everything was set!

Over the months running up to the wedding I contacted Igor and the team at Ido on a number of occasions with various questions and always got an honest, friendly response. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when my bank transfer got ‘lost’ Igor tracked it down (something my bank was going to charge me to do!). We received e-mails from them with reminders of what we had to do before we arrived in Paphos in terms of the legalities.

When Igor says he will do something, it is as good as done. Paphos is a lovely place and with Igor’s guidance we felt as though we really knew the place from the minute we arrived. We met with Igor the day after we arrived on the island and set the wheels in motion confirming all the arrangements (flowers, transport, photos, dvd etc). And when he said his favourite phrase, ‘do you have any question?’ most of the time we didn’t as he had covered every avenue that we had considered.

We forgot to take the CD with our ‘first dance’ song with us, but thanks to Yana from Ido, this was not a problem as she got it from her own CD collection and the song is even played on our Wedding DVD.

We also booked The Cyprus Piper for our wedding. Kevin Monahan, the Cyprus Piper is a lovely guy who made our wedding that extra bit special. He brought a bit of Scottish Tradition to our day in Paphos.

The photographer & videographer that Ido use are great. We ordered the 24 photo album + 10 sunset photos and Igor delivered over 500 proofs to our hotel the day after the wedding for us to choose from. We got the album and dvd within 2 days of choosing our photos. Both were of a very high quality.

We had a stress free holiday and the most perfect wedding day that we could have asked for, all thanks to Igor and the team.

Our wedding with “I do” weddings

What a perfect day, from the moment we arrived in Paphos we know it would be special. When we first met Igor he set our nerves free and took a lot of the weight and pressures of the wedding preparations off our minds.

Everything was explained so clearly to us that there was times we had no questions to ask as Igor was very thorough and in control.
Paphos has everything you will desire in a wedding location, and with I do weddings you every wish will come true. Our day went without any major hiccups and everything was perfect.
We had beautiful weather, flowers and the Town Hall was gorgeous.
Things we would suggest to you:
1. Aphrodite beach photos
2. roses – simply gorgeous
3. Demokritos local taverna for reception

And lastly we would suggest I do weddings. Igor was very professional, helpful and considerate, always at the end of the phone if you need anything and for this we thank him.

Our Wedding in Cyprus

After deciding to get married in Cyprus and searching the internet for information, we come across ido.com.cy, easily the best website of the few wedding planners in Cyprus.
Having got in touch, Igor phoned the very next day and explained everything we need, what he did and what was included. Right up to us leaving, he constantly kept in touch, checking we had everything and finding out where we staying so he could come and see us on arrival.

On his first visit, we were impressed with his friendly, but professional manner and it soon felt we were more his friends than just clients. The arrangements were made in his office, and the details of everything we wonted, from flowers to transport, and even hair dressers were finalised, with no hard sell, just advice and recommendation based on his experience and what we felt was best for us. The formality of the paperwork at the town hall was simple, and took just a few minutes, as Igor had already done most of it on our behalf.

On the big day itself, Igor was had early, delivering flowers and making sure everything was just right, and that everyone was in the right place at the right time.

The wedding was perfect, unhurried, peaceful and more romantic then we had ever hoped. The reception in a local Cypriot taverna, recommended and fully arranged by Igor, was fantastic night filled with dancing, good food and music, and it will be remembered by us and our friends and family for many years to come!
The photographer produced the photo proofs overnight and we were able to chose from over 300, getting our wedding album back to us within 3 days of the wedding.

Igors friendliness and vast experience made the whole time relaxing and fun, with none of the stress and worry that usually comes with planning a big day.

Just about everybody on the island seems to know Igor, from Restaurant owners to Town Hall officials, and the fact he has done so many weddings, yet still dedicates so much time to ensure your wedding is perfect, puts him in a League of his own.
If you want to say “I do” in Cyprus, then say it with I do!
